What Is Mapacho?
Mapacho is the traditional tobacco of the Amazon rainforest, made from Nicotiana rustica — a tobacco species significantly more potent than the Nicotiana tabacum found in conventional cigars and cigarettes. For generations, mapacho has held a central place in Amazonian tradition, where it is used by healers and practitioners in ceremony, prayer, and grounding practices.

Each cigar is hand-rolled in Peru by skilled artisans using whole-leaf Nicotiana rustica, with no additives, papers, or fillers. Our tobacco is sourced in small batches directly from the Peruvian Amazon.
