Not the tobacco Virginia is known for
Virginia has had its name attached to tobacco for four centuries, nearly all of it bright-leaf Nicotiana tabacum grown for cigarettes and pipe blends. Mapacho is a different plant: Nicotiana rustica, grown in the Peruvian Amazon, far stronger, cured slowly and rolled by hand for ceremony rather than for a pack of twenty. Plant Realm sources it directly from traditional growers and sells it as pure rustica leaf with no additives or flavorings, which is what qualifies it as a premium cigar under federal law.
How ordering from Virginia works
Mapacho is classified as a premium cigar, which places it outside the FDA tobacco-product rules and the PACT Act shipping restrictions written around cigarettes. Virginia has its own rules for out-of-state sellers who ship cigars to Virginia consumers, and Plant Realm ships to the Commonwealth in compliance with the ones that apply to us. Age gets checked twice on every order regardless: once at purchase, and again at the door, where UPS will not release the package without an adult signature.

Orders are packed and shipped from Plano, Texas, typically within one to two business days of payment clearing. UPS Ground covers most Virginia addresses in roughly three business days of transit from North Texas, and air services up to Next Day Air are priced live at checkout when timing matters.
